It’s been a while since a somewhat ‘lengthy’ update of my fitness life.
Basically, it’s like this:
I’m kicking ass.
While I haven’t weighed myself in some time [not a fan of it honestly], I’ve adjusted my diet, gotten into a gym, and now I’m just going at it. Some days I’m running five one mile sets at a decent pace, some days it is a variation of hard short runs with a break inbetween to drop blood pressure rates, and other days it is just a run that never ends.
I love it.
I told myself that I wouldn’t start weights until I’ve lost some weight; now my pants [jeans, khaki’s, etc..] all require a belt [on the last loop!] just to stay on. This is the best I’ve looked in years, while it is NOT drop dead hot, it’s better. My legs look like they did while I ran in high school. My stomach isn’t great still, but my arms look fantastic.
Diet has taken a rather conservative look: I eat more chicken then anything else [not fried], avoid a good chunk of breads [with the exception of whole grains], drink plenty of milk, and have a day where I eat what I want [tend to be Saturday’s]. On top of that, I currently work as a the manager of a Subway, which means my meals outside of the house are rather limited as well [not being a fan of sauces helps, or large masses of bread].
The big winning factor is this; because I’m working out so much, so long, and so hard my metabolism has shot through the roof, making what I eat a bit easier since it is constantly being processed into energy.
Fun little tid-bit: Focusing a bit on working on sleep patterns. The statistics do uphold themselves, aiming from 7-8 hours of sleep is exactly what the body needs [though a day every once again under the covers does help].
Things are looking up!
